Sheriff "So now you'd like to sell [your gun] to Jim Bonniwell?
Along with some information.  Well you're not going to do it."
Slater "Who's going to stop me?"

Watching Jim Bonniwell coming in

Bonniwell "What are you doing in Sierra Blanca?"
Slater "Looking for you." 

Bonniwell "Not an easy thing to do, is it son?"

Slater "I had a gun in my hand, and I couldn't kill him."
Karyl "Of course you couldn't.  He's your father!"
Slater "That's right. I'm a - I'm a Slater.  And that explains a lot of things."

Bonniwell "For twenty-odd years I've waited for one
man to stand at my shoulder, one man I could trust.
And now I've got him.  My own flesh and blood."

Bonniwell "Don't shoot!  That's exactly what he wants us to do."

Bonniwell "Let's you and me make a deal ... When I give the word, we'll
both step out.  We'll see if you're as fast as your old man."
